The Campbell lab studies the causes and consequences of chromosomal instability. The lab aims to determine how cells prevent chromosome missegregation in mitosis and meiosis by properly positioning the chromosomes on the metaphase plate. In addition, the lab strives to understand the downstream consequences of chromosome missegregation by studying the patterns of aneuploidy that emerge after extended periods of chromosomal instability.
